Choquequirao Trek 4 Days
It is known as the sister of Machupicchu. In recent years this wonderful archaeological site of Choquequirao is a tourist and cultural place for all visitors of great importance. In the archaeological park of Choquequirao we can not only find the historical, cultural and archaeological value but we can also find varieties of flora and fauna, many that are in danger of extinction such as the spectacled bear, the condor, varieties of butterflies, birds and we can also appreciate the great variety of orchids.

From Cusco we will leave around 5:30 am from your hotel, and then head to the town of San Pedro de Cachorra, where our muleteers and horses or mules will be waiting for us to accompany us on our journey of our trek with all our camping equipment after finishing getting everything ready we will continue our journey walking to the viewpoint of Capuliyoc. In our journey the nature offers us a beautiful panoramic view of the mythical mountains of the snowy Padreyoc of a deep canyon of Apurimac that means the river that speaks, then we will descend towards the canyon of Apurimac where we will arrive to a place called Chiquisca where we will spend the first night in our camp in this place we will enjoy our delicious dinner and then res
After an energetic breakfast we will continue with our hike to descend to Rosalina beach to cross the Apurimac River by the bridge, then descend up a very beautiful path accompanied by flora and fauna until we reach Marampata place where we will have a very beautiful panoramic view of the archaeological complex of Choquequirao, then continuing our way through a very beautiful path until we reach the archaeological park of Choquequirao where we will camp (the camp is located 20 minutes from the main square of Choquequirao). In the afternoon we will visit the most important places of the Choquequirao archaeological park.
On this day we will wake up early to have our breakfast then we will say goodbye to Choquequirao for our descent to the Apurimac River by the same path until we reach the bridge for our lunch and a short break to continue our hike until we reach Chiquiska where we will camp again to spend the night with a farewell dinner after having enjoyed our hike.
On this day we will get up very early because the early morning will help us to avoid the intense heat of the Apurimac canyon and we will be able to enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the Apurimac canyon and the mountains that will accompany us, then we will arrive to the town of Cachora for lunch, where our vehicle will be waiting for us to return to Cusco.
