Nice family hike for all levels, with few ups and downs. We will see a lot of different fauna and flora. You will also have a real cultural exchange; visiting remote villages, seeing Inca shamanic rites and local handicraft making.

We pick you up at your hotel to take our private transportation to the shores of the Piuray lagoon with a 45 minute hike. The hike starts at 8:30 a.m., the duration is 4 hours going around the entire Piuray lagoon, passing through Umasbamba Quechua and Cuper baja villages and surrounding communities, visiting villages making an experiential tourism, seeing the local customs of the district of Chinchero.

Overnight in Cuper village, a colonial model house, at night there is possibility (optional with the agreement of the passenger) to perform Inca shamanic rites, such as cleansing and flowering of the body with a gift of gratitude to life and payment to the earth Pachamama, read coca leaf and flowering bath, dinner and overnight in chinchero.

After breakfast, we see a presentation of traditional weavings and fabrics at the lodging place. The manufacture of alpaca garments, dyeing with native plants and with cochineal and salt gangs, urine of children from 1 to 9 years, will be explained. Also the use of volcanic earth and stones for the dyeing of garments, the demonstration of weaving in the style of the Inca ancestors, the preparation for the visit of the archaeological center of Chinchero and the colonial chapel of the Virgin of the Nativity, which is a jewel of the colonial era with very famous paintings of the Cusco school that have an incalculable wealth.

The walk to the waterfall of Pocpoc (“bridal veil”) is a mystical place famous because there they performed their rituals bathing the Incas for the purification of the soul. It is a very beautiful and unforgettable panorama and from there we go to the Sacred Valley (Urquillos) through forests of natural plants and eucalyptus in the middle of the Pocpoc stream with a 5 hour walk through very picturesque, fantastic, and unforgettable places.

Arriving to Urquillos our transportation will be waiting for us to take us to our destination.
